Goodbye Salon Waste. Hello Real, Measurable Change.
We’re creating a world where sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a reality. One where people and the planet can all profit. Join thousands of conscious people and make a real and measurable impact by diverting our salon resources from landfill and transforming it into a force for good.
Help feed the hungry
Did you know a full head of foils can provide a meal to someone in need.
All aluminium, foil, colour tubes, cardboard, paper, magazines, razor blades, unwanted tools and select disposables are sold for recycling, and the proceeds are donated to OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest to provide meals for hungry people.
Hair
Hair is one of the most underestimated renewable resources out there. That’s why we’ve done the research and developed new ways to use recycled hair.
Metals
Re-melting used aluminium saves up to 95% of the energy and 97% of the water needed to produce the primary product.
That’s why we’re committed to sending all your used foils, colour tubes and cans right back to your salon in the form of new and shiny (and completely recycled) products!
Metal is the most valuable material we recycle, and thanks to the commitment of our members, we’ve been able to donate these proceeds to produce meals for those in need.
Plastic
Plastic takes hundreds of years to break down, and even then microplastics can remain which pollute our land and oceans.
With the salon industry's heavy use of plastics, we knew a real impact can (and has) been made by recycling a huge amount of plastic
Paper
How do we recycle paper waste?
We send all paper products to our specialised recycling partners who grade, sort, shred and bale it.
These bales then get sent to paper mills to make new, recycled paper products. During its reprocessing, the mills test the mixture and add virgin fibres to help with any breakdown of the recycled paper fibres.
Ponytails
What happens to ponytails?
We send ponytails directly to wigmakers and to charitable organisations such as Variety and the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation (AAAF) to be made into charitable wigs or to fund life-changing programs.
